or "Selamat Datang" as we say it in Malay to all who have just step into
one of the first online bookstore from the Malaysian part of Borneo, Sabah.
How it all came about...
Two years ago a Malaysian local company was established to serve the local
I.T. industry by providing hardware and software solutions. As a whole the
company has several I.T related departments such as the network department
and the multimedia department. Throughout those years, the company was able
to produce software web based application, CD-Rom titles, web pages, presentation
and desktop publishing. BorneoStore is a result of an idea to which the
company has decided to make it come true.
What is our aim...
BorneoStore is to cater for those who are interested in purchasing books
that are locally produced and that are not found in any other parts of the
world or any other online bookstores except here. Most of the books will
give the reader a better understanding of Sabah, Borneo-in various aspects.
The selection of books available in this site varies from natural history,
scientific work, travel and much more. Therefore, definitely a must for
those planning to travel or for those who are into researching or those
who are just curious to know more. All the books are written in English.
Some of them contain a vast amount of photographs of flora and fauna and
illustrations that will definitely catch the eyes of the reader. Our main
aim is to give the international community an opportunity to share what
Borneo has to offer from beautiful white sandy beaches to majestic mount
Kinabalu- the highest mountain in Southeast Asia.
Our vision...
The nearest way from the real thing is to experience it in your living room.
Therefore, in the future, BorneoStore is expected to expand from books to
include souvenirs, CD-Rom titles and others. Hence, what you have read earlier
will now come alive in your own house and all you have to do to make it
