East Asia
South
East Asia is comprised of the Indo-Chinese and Malay peninsula
and several nearby island groups. The region is bordered on
the east by the South Pacific Ocean; on the west by the Indian
Ocean, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian subcontinent; the north
by China and the south by the Indian Ocean. South-east Asia
includes the countries of Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia,
Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Malaysia
Malaysia
lies in South-east Asia and is a member of the Commonwealth
Nations. It is divided into two parts: East Malaysia and West
Malaysia. East Malaysia includes both Sabah and Sarawak, comprising
the northern portion of Borneo Island. West Malaysia, comprising
the southern portion of the Malay Peninsula, is south of Thailand
and north of Singapore. The East and West Malaysia are separated
by about 640 km of open water, the South China Sea. In total,
Malaysia comprises an area of 329,759 Sq km. The capital city
is Kuala Lumpur.

Sabah
Sitting
on the northernmost tip of the third largest island in the world,
Borneo, Sabah lies in south-eastern Asia. It is bounded on the
northwest and north by the South China Sea, on the northeast
by the Sulu Sea, on the southeast by the Celebes Sea, on the
south by Kalimantan (Indonesian Borneo), and on the southwest
by Sarawak.
