There are a total of 391construction establishments in Sabah (1996's figure). Among these, 99 are individual proprietorships, 57 partnerships, 232 private limited companies, and 3 public listed companies.
The total output of the construction industry in 1996 is RM 1,926.8 Million. The value of input was RM 1,254.7 Million, hence the total value added in the process was RM672 million.
