Sabah has a total area of 7,126,100 hectares of land. Among these, the 1998 statistic shows that the reserved forest is 3,595,000 hectares, state forest is 476,000 hectares and other land is 3,055,000 hectares.
Also see CLASSIFICATION table for the detailed break down of the forest type. FOREST RESERVE BY DISTRICT shows the detailed area by district against hectarage of the state forest land and national park in the respective districts.
Also included in this section is output of forest products. 1998 figures shown a total of about 8 Million Cubic Meters of various products. Output of sawmills indicates in 1997, a total of about 3 Million Cubic Meters of log being used and sawn timber produced is about 1.5 Million Cubic Meters.
