 Manufacturing
sector is one of the major areas targeted in the Outline Perspective
Plan of Sabah (OPPS). In 1997, Sabah's manufacturing sector's total
input was RM 8,332.2
Million and output was RM 10,611.1 Million. This generated RM2,279.0
Million net value to the state of Sabah. It also provided 82,000 jobs
for Sabahans.
