Although
no published survey data is available, structured interviews with
a cross spectrum of hotel owners and operators in Sabah indicate
that average room rates have gradually increased over the last five
years, with achieved room rates for four to five star properties
noticeably.
As a rough estimation, the categorization is two to three star (less
than RM 120.00), three to four star (RM 120-170) and four to five
star (RM 170.00 plus).
