BITF gets Tan's support

Kota Kinabalu: Industrial Development Minister Datuk Raymond Tan has assured the Borneo International Trade Fair (BITF) Organising committee of his and his ministry's support to the biennial event.

Speaking to a delegation from the three Chambers of Commerce and Industry organizing the event namely, the Sabah Bumiputera Chamber of Commerce (SBCC), the KadazanDusun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Sabah United Chinese Chambers of Commerce (SUCCC) during a courtesy call recently, Tan congratulated them for the previous success.

Tan said that he and his ministry will assist the organising committee to the best of their ability.

The event this year will be organised by the Kadazan Dusun Chambers of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). It is scheduled to be held from November 10 to 13th at the Likas Sports Complex.

The Borneo International Trade Fair is a biennial trade event sanctioned by the State Government of Sabah and organized by rotation by the Sabah Bumiputera Chamber of Commerce (SBCC), the KadazanDusun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) and the Sabah United Chinese Chambers of Commerce (SUCCC).

The first Borneo International Trade Fair (BITF 2007) held four years ago achieved an unprecedented success through massive participation nd support of local companies and the BIMP-EAGA region.

The 4-day multisectoral trade fair involved more than 150 participants from various industries and countries.
