Industrial Area 
The total land area proposed for industrial / warehouse uses is
702 ha or 19.1% of the total land area of KKIP development. The industrial zone
is located on the flat land to the south and eastern part of the site and can
accommodate approximately 2.5 to 3.0 million sq. m of gross industrial floor space
based on an estimated plot ratio of 0.4. It is estimated that the 702 ha of industrial
land will be able to generate approximately 72,000 industrial jobs which will make
KKIP a major employment centre in Kota Kinabalu.
Industrial land within KKIP will be leased out to potential industrialists as developed land fully serviced with quality infrastructure. Each plot will front a tarmac road with utilities right up to the factory plot. There will be some ready-built factories available for sale to potential tenants who prefer fast start-up operations. |
